The official logo of next year's Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, has been released.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Nov. 15 said the organizing committee for the event on Nov. 14 announced the emblem at the 2024 APEC Ministerial Meeting of foreign and trade ministers in Peru.

The logo's design symbolizes the summit's theme and main task of "Building a Sustainable Tomorrow-Connect, Innovate, Prosper," while also showing the country's traditional cultural beauty.

The butterfly motif symbolizes contribution to the ecosystem's success, representing how the insect connects APEC member states and regions, promotes the prosperity of the economic cooperation community in the Asia-Pacific region, and stimulates more innovation and change.

The convex title on the right shows the nation's traditional cultural beauty and welcomes APEC member states and regions to Korea with the millennium smile of the ancient Silla Kingdom.

The logo will be used in promotional materials for official and sideline events at next year's summit.
